Shooting Jackie & Alex was an adventure in home - we played inside their house, in each room throughout the upstairs, we were at the piano for an impromptu jam session - then out to the backyard, on the porch and in the front yard - and then we ended up in my cul-de-sac when all was said & done. I was pretty thrilled to be profiled in a 4-page spread in Rangefinder Magazine in November, the signature magazine for professional photographers (that I also happen to pore through every month). I remember being in awe of those profiled photographers when I first started out, so it's quite cool to come full circle in regards to this particular publication. And thanks for Amber Holritz for writing such a nice piece!

Tamela and Shawn got married in Greensboro, North Carolina, at the lovely Grandover Resort. They planned a pretty incredible day, complete with releasing doves after their ceremony, a very talented cigar roller brought in from Miami for the big event, and a very full day & evening surrounded by loving friends and family... The Bride & her Flower Girl had nearly matching tiaras... Tamela looked absolutely radiant... ....as did her gorgeous team of junior bridesmaid

The Beautiful Ms. Lindsey & the Gorgeous Dr. Nick got married at Duke Chapel and celebrated their wedding at the Washington Duke Inn on a wonderful sunny day. They spent the day and evening with a plethora of great friends and family. They are both such smart, together people, the day went off without a hitch! Getting ready - Lindsey looked so elegant, her bridesmaids were in full admiration mode :) Thanks to Michael for this great shot of the men in action.... Goin

Since then, I've seen them both out and about, especially at fun races around town, or when I caught them at the pool, usually training for some event. They definitely maximized their no-kids-yet-married time, especially their very cool trip to New Zealand, etc., to race at the Ironman competition and tour about on bikes. When Sally got pregnant, with twins, she still didn't slow down much - a

So I was scampering about on the beach with some kids (i.e., shooting a beach session) when this woman walked up and asked if I could photograph her family, as well, since they would be on vacation for a few more days. They hadn't planned on a beach portrait but it looked like fun so she thought she'd check. I ended up being able to squeeze in this one extra shoot, and I was so glad I could because the McMahon family was cute, spirited and quite photogenic! The 3 daughter

I met with Kimrey and her extended family at Bald Head - I think there were about 20 people there in total (?) - we shot everyone together and apart and as they all ran about and played and splashed and danced. I have to start with my favorite photograph of the entire shoot. We started safely on the beach but everyone quickly moved to the water. This was a great moment - an attempt to look my way but the excitement and shock of the waves crashing in brought about this wo
