Just returned from a busy, busy, wonderful week in Las Vegas - the WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) Convention, with an estimated 15,000 photographers in attendance from all over the world. I so enjoyed the entire week, kicking off with two days of intense print judging of some very cool categories, including photojournalism, humor, fashion, and nature & landscape. My talented friends Jose Villa,Jesh de Rox and the Image is Found duo just opened registration for their BLEND workshop, specializing in all things wedding photography, to take place this March 24th-26th in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I am so excited to be joining this world-class group to present a special clinic having to do with working with multiple shooters and, y'know .... very cool wedding photography stuff ;)

We opened up registration at noon today, November 15th for learnfest 09, which we announced recently. Within less than 90 minutes, we have nearly sold out. I have been receiving a wonderful number of emails and private messages about my book, The Art of Children's Portrait Photography, which released earlier this month. I have to admit: I am slightly amazed at the interest paid to it so far and at the rapid sales of the book. The comment I am hearing most often is that the book is out of stock at local bookstores for people. My understanding is that it is selling quite well, which is fantastic, but that it is being re-stocke
