For nearly two decades, I’ve had the extraordinary privilege of teaching photography workshops around the world - across six continents, in some wildly incredibly places and alongside some truly inspiring individuals.

When I first began teaching workshops, they were initially focused just on portrait photography. Over the years, those experiences expanded into landscape and travel, wildlife conservation photography - and the immersive adventure photography workshops we teach today. I’ve also had the opportunity to teach alongside some incredibly talented co-instructors - something I’ve always loved and still enjoy doing from time to time.

All those years have taught us a lot about what makes a photography workshop exceptional.

We’ve dialed in the parts that should be dialed in: thoughtful planning, safety, great instruction, comfortable logistics and carefully vetted local producers and guides who know these places intimately and share our commitment to responsible, conservation-minded travel.

But we care just as much about the experience beyond photography. Great food matters. Where we stay matters. And wherever we are in the world, we seek out experiences that feel unique to that place - its landscapes, people, wildlife, culture and those unexpected moments that let us truly experience somewhere rather than simply photograph it.

We also believe pretty strongly in the value of adventure itself! Stepping outside your comfort zone and experiencing a completely different part of the world can wake you up. So while every workshop is thoughtfully and professionally produced, the experience itself is intentionally flexible. We arrive with a strong plan, an experienced team, and trusted people on the ground - and enough openness to change that plan when something even better presents itself.
