speaking of italyโ€ฆ

After listening to the beautiful Italian language for so many days in a row, I’m even more tickled to learn that The Art of Children’s Portrait Photography has been re-published in Italian now, too … surprised to see the cover looking so different!

If any of my Italian-reading friends want to tell me what the cover says, you’d save me a most arduous trip to google.
(oh – and, by the way, if it says something about this ghastly photographer fumbling with her equipment, writing like a hack, and interacting with children in the most awkward of ways – just, y’know, go ahead and email me privately ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. I haven’t studied Italian since high school, so I’m paraphrasing here:
There is a new search for style from professional photographers, particularly in the portrayal of children. There is a contemporary professionalism for those able to capture looks, expressions, or attitudes and transform a simple shot into a portrait with emotion. Tamara Lackey, who has been published in magazines like Vogue and Elle, offers a useful series of solution to transform the usual portrait into a story. 128 pages, more than 160 photos in color and black and white…

  9. Forgot the other part… ๐Ÿ™‚

My Italian is far from perfect…
A style by the professional photographer that specializes in portrait, and in particular childrens portraiture.

A contemporary professional that makes you stop and take a second glance, capturing expressions and attitudes that transform a simple shot into one that move you.

Sorry…a bit rusty, been away too long:)

I am fairly certain that it says: this woman is the bomb at taking pics of kids (and brides too). But that’s just a loose translation….

Mom and Dad could definitely be impressed as well except that they are so familiar with all the other amazing "Tamara" exploits that it’s hard to determine which ones are greater than others…. there was that Texas fifth-grade summer flying an airplane and riding a horse through town.
